Are You Truly Living… or Just Existing?
Have you ever thought about pausing long enough to really examine your life?
Not just the busy schedule, the to-do lists, or the next big goal, but your why?
Socrates once said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.”
That’s a bold statement, but he's right when you think about it.
If we never stop to reflect, we can end up walking in circles, working hard yet feeling like something’s missing. I can speak on this because I have found myself going in circles, uncertain of what I wanted.
But when we take time to slow down and look inward, life begins to change. We start to notice what feeds our soul… and what drains it. We recognize where God has been guiding us all along, even when we didn’t see it.
I found that God lets you experience some of those other things you dream about, but only in small spurts. If you listen, those spurts help prepare you for what he has in mind for you. I was what my friend, Caterina Rando, would call a slow cooker. It took me years to understand what God showed me before I started recognizing that He had given me my dream. I had only to accept it.
I believe an examined life is one where we ask ourselves honest questions like:
✨ Am I living in alignment with my purpose?
✨ Am I honoring the dreams God placed in my heart?
✨ Am I growing, spiritually, emotionally, and personally?
When we do this, we invite transformation. We open the door to healing, purpose, and a deeper joy.
So today, I encourage you to take a few quiet moments. Grab your journal, sit quietly, and ask yourself: Am I truly living… or just existing?
Your next breakthrough might be waiting in that reflection. 💫
With love,
