Why Every Woman Needs a Legacy Journal
The last few days have been difficult. I’ve been out of commission, quietly grieving the sudden loss of my nephew. Right now, we have no news yet about the service arrangements, and I’ve been sitting with the ache that comes when someone you love leaves too soon. In the stillness, I’ve found myself reaching for my journal—because sometimes, writing is the only way I know how to process the pain.
And that leads me to something I want to share with you today, especially if you're a woman walking through your own storms or simply trying to make sense of life.
Every woman needs a legacy journal.
Why? Because your voice matters. Your story matters. Your dreams, your wisdom, your tears, and your triumphs—they’re not meant to be buried under the weight of everyday life. They’re meant to be recorded, remembered, and passed on.
Legacy journaling isn’t about being perfect or profound. It’s about being present and honest. It’s a way to capture the lessons life has taught you so that one day, your children, grandchildren, or a sister who looks up to you will know what courage looked like in your shoes.
When I created my eBooks and journals, including Seeds of Hope and How to Start Journaling, I did it for women like us—women who’ve been through something, women who still dare to dream, and women who want their lives to leave a trail of inspiration behind.
If you’ve never started a legacy journal, today is a good day to begin. Don’t wait for the perfect time. Write what you feel, what you’ve learned, and what you still believe is possible. Because someday, your words could be the lifeline someone else needs.
You don’t need to have it all together—you just need to begin.
