How I Overcame Doubt (And How You Can Too)
There have been seasons in my life when doubt whispered louder than faith. Moments when I questioned everything, my purpose, my gifts, even my worth. Doubt has a sneaky way of showing up when you're on the verge of something beautiful, doesn’t it?
But here’s the truth: I didn’t stay stuck there. And neither do you have to.
Step One: I Got Honest With Myself.
I stopped pretending I had it all together. I journaled about what I was afraid of and asked myself, “What’s the worst that could happen?” Most of the time, the fear was just smoke and mirrors, powerful only when I stayed silent.
Step Two: I Reached For Faith.
When my own confidence was low, I leaned into God’s promises. I kept scriptures about strength and courage in front of me—on sticky notes, bathroom mirrors, and phone screens. The Word reminded me of what was possible with Him, not just in me.
Step Three: I Took One Bold Step.
Not a giant leap. Just one action. I signed up, I showed up, I said “yes” to something that scared me just a little. And that one act made the next one easier. Doubt loses its grip when we move anyway.
Step Four: I Surrounded Myself With Belief.
I joined circles that spoke life into me. People who reminded me of who I am and what I carry. When my voice trembled, theirs held steady. When I forgot my vision, they held it up until I remembered again.
Doubt still tries to creep in from time to time. But now I know what to do. I pause, pray, reflect, and move forward on purpose.
And I want the same for you.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just need to believe that you're worth the effort.
You were born to rise. Doubt may visit, but it can’t live here anymore.
