: A Grateful Heart for Our Heroes
Today, my heart is full of gratitude.
Veterans Day always brings a wave of emotions for me. I think about my family, my three sons, one still proudly serving, and the many others who have worn the uniform: my granddaughter, nieces, nephews, brother, cousins, and uncles. Each of them answered the call to serve, not because it was easy, but because they believed in something bigger than themselves.
To every man and woman who has ever stood watch, flown into danger, sailed into the unknown, or waited quietly at home for their loved one’s safe return, thank you. Your courage, strength, and sacrifice make it possible for us to live in peace and freedom.
Freedom has a heartbeat, and it sounds like the steps of those who serve. It’s the quiet courage of the ones who never seek praise but deserve it most.
So today, I pause to honor every veteran, known and unknown, and to whisper a prayer of gratitude for each of you. May your service never be forgotten. May you always know how deeply appreciated you are.
From my heart to yours, thank you for protecting, serving, and standing tall for us all.
