Journaling has helped me turn my big ideas into real goals. It’s like having a private meeting with yourself where you can dream, plan, and hold yourself accountable.

How to Use Journaling to Set Goals:

Step 1: Get Clear on What You Want
Start with a simple question: What do I really want?
Write your answer in a sentence or two. Don’t overthink it. Be honest.

Step 2: Break It Down
Once you know what you want, break it into smaller steps. Think about what you need to do this week, this month, or even today.

Step 3: Set a Date
Put a goal date on it. A dream without a deadline is just a wish.

Step 4: Check in Often
Every week, use your journal to check your progress. Celebrate the wins—big or small—and adjust where needed.

A Real Example from My Journal:

One day, I wrote:
“I want to start a podcast that helps women believe in their dreams.”

Then I asked:
What’s the first step?
My answer: “Pick a name.”

The next day, I wrote:
“Podcast name chosen: Coffee, Comfort & Courage.”

From there, I made a list of tasks: record the intro, design the cover, pick a launch date. Each one had a little checkbox. And I felt so proud every time I checked one off.

Journaling helped me stay focused and excited—not overwhelmed.
