Becoming Her: The Journey Back to Me
A friend of mine posted a question today that stopped me in my tracks: “Who are you becoming by what you do daily?”
Whew. That hit deep.
I didn’t have an immediate answer. Truthfully, I’ve spent so much time becoming who I needed to be for the people I served, the projects I led, or the roles I was asked to play. And I did it well—don’t get me wrong. I wore a lot of hats over the years, and I enjoyed most of them. But now that it’s just me, I’m sitting with a quiet question I’ve avoided for a while:
Do I even know who I really am anymore?
That question opened the door to something deeper. It’s not that I lost myself—it’s that I’ve been waiting. Waiting to give that inner woman the time, space, and freedom to show up fully.
And now? It’s her turn.
It’s time to choose who I am—not based on what needs to be done but based on who I truly want to become. That means slowing down, digging deep, and honoring the dreams that have lived inside me all along.
So I’m asking you now:
Are you becoming who you are by what you do daily?
Let’s talk about it in the comments—I’d love to hear your heart.
